Madagascar is rich in minerals and the market has a huge variety of polished specimens, natural crystals and fossilized ammonites with iridescent. Regulations of the country are that the Malagasy people are employed in the work force and the results are an abundance of polished goods from ammonites, rose quartz and clear quartz crystals, blue calcite, red carnelian, petrified wood and the famous ocean jasper are all shaped into spheres, eggs, pebbles and freeforms. All specimens for sale have been obtained via dealers that travel to Madagascar and ship to South Africa or England, nothing comes from China.
