Sturmanite

Displayed over a thin plate of manganese matrix is small brown crystals of sturmanite with minor calcite associated. The crystals are hexagonal with a pinacoid, brown mostly opaque to translucent on edge where they are a yellow brown in good light, as seen under magnification. Minor damage does not detract and where there is a white patch this area is fluorescent dull yellow in u.v. light. SKU000116 |
