Smithsonite & Willemite

Displayed on edge is three large white translucent crystals of smithsonite on smaller smithsonite with willemite associated. These three crystals are 15, 20 & 35 mm with the largest having a cleaved edge. The willemite exhibits small snow white spheres and acicular crystals and some can been seen included in smithsonite as seen under magnification. Specimen is fluorescent dull yellow orange mostly but in small areas it is bright orange. SKU000129 |

Smithsonite

Displayed on all sides is botryoidal smithsonite crystals in dolomite matrix. The smithsonite has a light mint green hue, is translucent with a sparkly pearly lustre from a thin white mineral coating that might be otavite but it's not analysed. The botryoids are made up from small rhombs filling every crevice. SKU000133 |
