Cuprite Tsumeb

In matrix mixed with dolomite and copper is numerous small cuprite crystals of octahedral form to 3 mm with a sub-metallic lustre. In good light the blood-red colour does shine through some crystals. Associated minerals are believed to be light and dark green conichalcite and light blue plancheite. Specimen is thought to be from the 43rd or 44th level.
